緊張刺激的S9小組賽即將開打，而今年又適逢英雄聯盟誕生十週年。作為傳統慣例，拳頭在賽前發布了針對新賽季的展望，而重點，則是每天都有幾百萬人遊玩其中的召喚師峽谷。
對於那些從S3、4時期就開始已錄堅持下來的玩家，還會記得現在奮戰的召喚師峽谷也曾經經歷了好幾個階段。從最早的粗糙的寫實美漫風格，整個峽谷像是一個鬱鬱蔥蔥的森林，F6還是F4，紅藍BUFF還帶著小弟等等。
隨後來到重大變革的S5，整個地圖煥然一新，從遠古森林來到了堅固的石質戰場，紅藍BUFF失去了小弟，F4增員變成了F6，蛤蟆取代了幽靈。玩家嘴上說著不要不要，玩到最後都是真香。
隨後，S5時期定下來的地圖基調一直延續到今天。即使是中途野區大改版，峽谷河蟹、爆炸果實、真視花朵的出現，以及小龍的改動和先鋒的加入戰場。但地圖並沒有在進行美術風格上的改變。
而即將到來的S01，拳頭又會準備什麼樣的大餐呢？在官方發布的消息中，有兩個重點，一是多樣性，指地圖應該可以通過自身動態的環境變化為對局創造更多的關鍵時刻。這個概念有點像元素龍，但拳頭希望是地圖層面的改變。
其二是可精通性，拳頭希望地圖應該提供更多可供玩家進行謀劃和操作的設計，而現在無論是玩家還是選手都將精力放在三條線和資源上，設計師希望能夠通過改動，將'地形'這一元素可以在戰鬥層面讓玩家進一步“秀起來
而彷彿是為了印證拳頭的話，有博主放出了疑似遊戲內部還在測試的偷跑圖。圖上最大的特點就是在野區紅BUFF前方加入了一個類似防禦塔的東西。這個操作有點像之前的那個娛樂模式中的東西，但是不知道的是機制一不一樣。
其次是在下路線中間，野區河蟹出來的那個口子，增加了一個類似基地商店的模型，是不是意味著拳頭想大幅增加線上角色的續航？當然回血功能肯定是會被砍掉的，而且商品種類是不是和基地商店一樣也是問題。
然而，這兩個機制看起來很美好，面對的問題也是很大的。其實有思考過的玩家都知道，現在的LOL地圖實在是太小了，導致很多機制都被迫縮在一起。現在的峽谷走兩步就是東西，可供迂迴的地方都沒多少。如果拳頭真的想再大改，我倒覺得第一步就是要重做峽谷，整個擴大才有戲。
